Waking up every morning and going to the bakery for a baguette, then the local shop for a bottle of wine. Wandering the beautiful city of Toulouse. Eating sandwiches on the banks of the River Garonne. Chatting with the lovely people here. Drinking hot chocolate in sidewalk cafes while watching the foot traffic on the cobble streets.
Every night going out and meeting girls who carried bottles of wine in their purses/bags/coats who then proceeded to give my friend and I aforementioned wine, because, why not?
Ringing in the New Year on New Year’s Eve by popping champagne in the capital’s square and watching fireworks over the river. Then going back with some Portuguese, French, and Spanish guys and gals we met there for cake and wine at their apartment. It has been amazing. Hope to make it back here again soon.
Now the holidays are over for me. Heading back to Bristol tomorrow to start cramming for exams. Crap.
Toulouse for New Years has been great.
Hope everyone has a fantastic New Year!
Dublin was amazing. Really wish I’d been able to go up to Belfast and to the countryside though. Still, had a great time and now I have an excuse to go back in order to do those things.
Back in Bristol for Christmas (in halls, woo…) then off to France for New Years!
Just shy of 100 days!
